Venue Ideas

We realise that sometimes finding the right venue can be a little tricky, especially if your guests are travelling from different locations. Or perhaps you are wanting a life drawing class en route to another activity and need help finding a venue that is suitable.

Over the years we have discovered a few hidden gems that we are happy to share with you to save you some time.

Auckland venues

STUDIO ONE TOI TU
For an authentic art class vibe, easels can be set up in the upstairs workshop and downstairs offers two white and spacious studios that can be arranged with tables and chairs and are perfect for decorating. This community facility is located on Ponsonby Rd, BYO drinks and nibbles are an option at this venue.

TABAC
Set in a rustic heritage building, this ambient and sophisticated bar is located in the backstreets of the central city. Tabac features a private function room ideal for smaller life drawing classes of 10-15 guests. The staff are friendly and this is a perfect place to spend some time either side of you class, perhaps sipping on your favourite cocktail.

BREW ON QUAY
This charming bar in the heart of Britomart offers a plush private function space, the Managers room is the perfect size for groups of 10-15 guests for a life drawing class. A great menu is available and we are yet to check out their rooftop bar which would be fun for larger events.

FHLOSTON PARADISE
At the top of Ponsonby Rd this 90’s inspired bar could be just what your looking for. Their upstairs area is available for private functions and has a seperate bar.

VODKA ROOM
Check out their richly decorated function spaces including the Rose Room, Bear Room and the Kalashnikov Room. Centrally located in Ponsonby and caters to various size groups.

SASSY LOVES CLASH
Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Courtenay Place is a small unassuming door which leads you up to this boutique bar that is spacious and elegantly decorated. Available for afternoon private bookings.

TOI PONEKE
This inner city community art space has a studio available for life drawing classes. Easels or tables can be set up depending on the size of your group, BYO drinks and nibbles is an option.
